PVSA Information

The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) is the premier volunteer awards program, encouraging citizens to live a life of service through presidential gratitude and national recognition.

Hours are measured over a 12-month period (May 1-mid-April each year) and awards are designated based on cumulative hours. The awards are offered in multiple levels and are designed to recognize each milestone of your service achievement. Levels include bronze, silver, and gold.

Hours by Award

 Kids (5-10)

 Teens (11-15)

At Old Donation School, service is at the heart of our Plan for Continuous Improvement. Each year, it is our goal that 25% of students will report volunteer hours for community service projects or activities as measured by data collected through the President's Volunteer Service Award program. Ultimately, we encourage all students to participate.

Students can now start documenting service hours for next school year. Our recognition cycle runs May 1st to mid-April each year. Students are to submit their "Volunteer Service Log" to the school three times each year by the established dates. The dates for the 2022-23 school year are:

  • November 22, 2022
  • February 23, 2023
  • April 21, 2023

Logs may be emailed directly to Sara Wade at [email protected] or given to her in the main office. If emailed, please send as a .PDF and not in .JPEG or other picture format.
