President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA)

The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) is the premier volunteer awards program, encouraging citizens to live a life of service through presidential gratitude and national recognition. Along with the ultimate honor of presidential recognition, recipients will receive a personalized certificate, an official pin, medallion, or coin and a congratulatory letter from the President of the United States.

Hours are measured over a 12-month period (May 1-April 30 each year) and awards are designated based on cumulative hours. The awards are offered in multiple levels and are designed to recognize each milestone of your service achievement. Levels include bronze, silver, and gold.

Hours by Award

Kids (5-10)

Teens (11-15)

At Old Donation School, we encourage students to actively seek ways in which they can assist the school and the communities we serve. We seek to increase student participation in the PVSA by 10% or more each year as outlined in our Plan for Continuous Improvement.

Parents, if your child was registered with the PVSA prior to March 4, 2019, you should record their hours through the PVSA website using your login credentials. There is no need to submit the service log.

If, however, your child was not registered prior to March 4, 2019, please complete the attached “PVSA Parent and Student Information” document and send it to school with your child as soon as possible. In addition, you will need to submit your child’s “Volunteer Service Log” at the end of each quarter (Quarters 1-3) beginning with the 2019-2020 school year.
